Day 6: A Heart of Expectation
Day 6: A Heart of Expectation
Scripture: Malachi 3:1 - "See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me."
Reflection: The Advent season invites believers into a space of hopeful expectation. Long before Jesus' first arrival, prophecies spoke of a Messiah, a Savior awaited by generations. We anticipate this very presence anew in our lives each Christmas. This expectation renews our hope and nurtures our faith as we eagerly await Jesus’ work in our lives.
Living with a heart of expectation means waking up each day looking for ways God is moving around and within us. It is about being attuned and ready for how His presence may unfold in powerful and subtle ways. As we journey through Advent, let our hearts swell with joy and assurance, knowing God’s promises are true, and new, miraculous things await when we align our hearts with His purpose.
Action Item: Write a letter to Jesus expressing your hopes for this Advent season and how you expect to experience Him in new ways.
Prayer: God, fill my heart with expectation. Let hope be my guide as I await the wonders of what is to come. Amen.
