Day 11: Jesus, Our Everlasting Father

Scripture: John 14:27 (NLT) "I am leaving you with a gift peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."

Reflection: Jesus wants to be like the best dad ever, always there for us with love and peace. Just like a warm hug from someone you love can make everything feel better, Jesus's peace helps calm our fears and troubles. Think of it as a special gift from Him that never goes away! During Advent, let’s cherish this peace and remember that He’s with us always, ready to comfort us no matter what’s happening around us. Jesus’s gift of peace isn’t like any other; it calms our hearts and minds, making us brave and joyful even when days are tough.

Family Activity: Create a “peace chain” with paper strips. Write down messages of Jesus’s love and joy on each one. Link them together to form a chain that grows longer each day leading up to Christmas.

Prayer: Jesus, our Everlasting Father, thank you for your constant love and peace. Help us to feel your comforting presence in our hearts and homes. Amen.
