Day 9: Jesus, Our Wonderful Counselor

Scripture: Isaiah 9:6 (NLT) "For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Reflection: Picture this: you’re working on a puzzle and can’t find where a piece goes. Frustrating, right? Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor, is like a helpful friend who shows us exactly where that piece fits. In life, we have decisions to make, big and small. Whether you’re deciding how to share a toy or figuring out which friend to sit with at lunch, Jesus is there to guide us. He loves giving good advice and showing us the right path. This Advent, remember that you can talk to Jesus about anything. He will always listen, help you think things through, and fill you with peace knowing He’s got the best advice!

Family Activity: Each family member shares a current decision or challenge. Together, try to think about what advice Jesus might give for each situation. End by praying for His wisdom and guidance.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being our Wonderful Counselor. Guide our path with your wisdom and help us to trust in your loving guidance. Amen.
