FAMILY Day 7: The Light Has Come
Day 7: The Light has Come
Scripture: John 1:14 (NIV) - "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."
Reflection: Have you ever been in a really dark room and then turned on a light? Suddenly, everything becomes clear and bright! Jesus is like that light for us. When He came to earth, He brought with Him a love and warmth that brightens even the darkest places in our hearts and lives. Advent is a time to remember that Jesus, the Light of the World, came to be with us and shine His love brightly.
As we prepare to celebrate His birth, we think about how His light guides us, helping us make good choices and share love with others. Imagine being a flashlight for someone in the dark, showing them the way. Just like that, we can share Jesus’ light by being kind, helpful, and loving to everyone around us. This Advent, let’s let His light fill our homes and hearts, celebrating the love He brings into the world every day.
Family Activity: Have a candle-lighting moment. Turn off the lights, light a candle, and talk about how Jesus shines light in your lives. Share ways you can be a light to others this week.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being our light. Help us to shine Your love and joy everywhere we go. Amen.
