Day 24: The Power of Focus

Scripture: Hebrews 12:2 (NIV): "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Reflection:

It's Christmas Eve! The excitement is in the air, and we're just one night away from celebrating Jesus' birth! Whether you've just come back from the Christmas Eve service at church or are getting ready to go, remember why this night is so special. We gather together to celebrate the best gift of all, Jesus! When we focus on Him, His joy fills our hearts and makes everything brighter. Jesus came to love us and show us the way to God, and that’s why we have Christmas. So, as you feel the joy of this season, whether at church, at home with family, or anywhere else, let’s keep celebrating His amazing love. Imagine the night Jesus was born, with angels singing and shepherds rejoicing. Tonight, we can join in that celebration with joy and excitement!

Family Activity:

Have a Christmas Eve celebration by putting on a mini Christmas play at home. Dress up as angels, shepherds, and even the Holy Family, and act out the Christmas story. Then, gather around and sing "Joy to the World," remembering that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank you for filling our hearts with such joy and excitement. Help us to keep our eyes on You as we celebrate Your birth. Fill our hearts and homes with Your wonderful love. Amen.
